Proceedings WEFTA annual meetings

A source of seafood research information

The first WEFTA meeting was held in 1970 in IJmuiden the Netherlands. In those days speakers were asked to bring copies of their presentation to the meeting for distribution among the participants. The documents were laid down in pigeon holes and the participants could collect the relevant papers and bind them together. This procedure lasted for many years.

Nowadays the organising WEFTA institutes publish proceedings with all the abstracts of the presentations presented at the annual meeting.

It was agreed in the 2008 WEFTA representative institutes meeting to publish the WEFTA proceedings on the internet as a source of information for the scientific community. At this moment only a few proceedings or book of abstracts are available. We will continue with publishing more WEFTA proceedings.
