The WEFTA conference 2011 was held in the Quality Hotel 11, located in the heart of the Port of Gothenburg (Göteborgs Hamn) – in one of the city’s most rapidly expanding and exciting districts – Norra Älvstranden. The old shipyard building at the water’s edge today houses a modern hotel featuring innovative architecture and definitive Scandinavian design. An ideal place for organising meetings.
All WEFTA 2011 participants were invited for a free trip with the Gothenburg Wheel 42 glass-enclosed gondolas that lifts up to 60 meters offers the city's new attraction at a 360° view over the city. The WEFTA participants were invited for a reception at the town hall of Goteborg. Most of the participants used the boat transport from the Conference hotel Quality to the harbor and centre of Goteborg where also the wheel was located. City bikes were available for further transport.
It has become almost a tradition during the last years of WEFTA to have a great dance party after the Conference dinner. In that respect the DJ at the Conference dinner in the River Café managed to get the majority of the participants on the dance floor for several hours. In the video below an impression of dancing WEFTA 2011.
