"Navigating the World of Seafood Product Integrity”
Combining the international talents in science, commerce and regulation to address all aspects of seafood and aquaculture product quality, safety, nutrition and integrity through production, processing, distribution and consumption
Technical Sessions will include 20 minute presentations on a variety of topics grouped around similar themes. Additional presentations will be staged as posters. The themes can center about varies pertinent issues for both traditional seafood and aquacultured products, such as:

Detection and Prevention of Persistent Seafood Safety Hazards (microbial and viral pathogens, natural and environmental toxins, allergens, etc.)

Implications and Adjustments for the Changing Supply (availability, new choices, sensory attributes, full product and waste utilization, value added concepts, etc.)

Innovations for Processing to Maintain Product Quality and Safety (maintaining frozen and refrigerated shelf-life, control oxidation, packaging, use of antimicrobial agents, etc.)

Innovations in Monitoring and Detection for Product Specifications and Safety

Nutrition and Dietary Concerns (lowering sodium content, new nutritional profiles, minerals and heavy metals content, public advice and surveys, etc.
Special Topics addressing Seafood Product Integrity will include a combination of invited expert reports and presentations submitted by researchers and firms addressing the various topics of concern
